Perched on the edge of Table Mountain, this bachelor pad was conceived of as a living terrace for experiencing sweeping views of both Cape Town city and the Atlantic Seaboard. In addition to the expansive ocean views, this home has close mountain views through high-level windows which simultaneously allow for natural cross-ventilation and emission of heat in summer. The double volume living space assists an uninterrupted connection between interior spaces with the exterior. Slide away glazing and aluminium shutters screen the West-facing front elevation from the harsh afternoon sun, allowing for a cool and tranquil interior.
